13. CATEGORY X
Years ago the Southern Short Course had a category known as Category X. It was a catch-all for photos that did not fit into any of the other described categories. So, for our 50th anniversary, we brought it back with a twist. Any photo that was taken in the past 50 years (not picture stories) was eligible. Imagine trying to reduce a career's work down to one picture.
